4 Channel Stereo Audio Selector
The circuit of 4 channel stereo audio selector, this function to select the audio input lines consisting of 4 stereo line inputs with one output channel stereo. Selector circuit is made using a major component in the form of an electronic switch IC CD4066 which is controlled by the ring counter IC CD4017 and NE555 multivibrator. The circuit of 4 channel stereo audio selector is controlled by a push button switch to select the audio input path. 4 channel stereo input lines to the audio selector circuit is input lines A, B, C and D are each stereo. To 4 track stereo inputs can be selected using an electronic switch IC CD4066 controlled via push button selector switch.
Parts of circuit 4 Channel Stereo Audio Selector
The circuit of 4 channel stereo audio selector consists of several parts :
- Push button switch as a selector switch, this switch functions to select the input channel that will be missed. In principle this will trigger keystrokes NE555 multivibrator circuit to generate a pulse of the election.
- NE555 multivibrator which serves to generate a pulse-based selection of key presses the push button. This selector pulses supplied to the ring counter CD4017 to select channels using IC CD4066.
- Selector indicator in the form of 4 LEDs which will identify the track selected input. 4 pieces LED is connected to the output of the ring counter CD4017 so will turn on the track selected input.
- VU stereo display serves to give the appearance of the selected input signal level. This section uses the stereo-type IC KA2281 VU display.
The circuit of 4 channel stereo audio selector in the image above can be operated with a DC voltage source + 9 volts DC.
