The circuit of bidirectional DC motor driver in the following circuit of images can be used for DC motor drivers and can control the direction of rotation in the second direction of the DC motor rotation speed can be set. The circuit of bidirectional DC motor driver under fairly simple and is built with a voltage comparator circuit Op-Amp IC 741 and a pair of NPN and PNP transistor driver. Working Principle Bidirectional DC Motor Driver

The circuit of bidirectional DC motor driver simple above can control the direction of rotary motor DC and DC motor rotation speed control. DC motor driver above consists of the comparator and the power DC motor driver.

Part comparator function provides a control signal to the power transistor driver. At the time of the control voltage (pin 3) is higher than the voltage on pin 2 of IC 741 then the voltage comparator IC 741 will provide a voltage output with a positive level, so that will provide forward bias to reverse bias transistor Q1 and the transistor Q2. Then when the 3 pin voltage is lower than the voltage pin 2, the comparator IC 741 would give the output with a negative level, so that transistor Q2 gets forward biased and transistor Q1 gets reverse bias.

Transistors are used as a DC motor driver is a type transistor TIP32 TIP31 for Q1 and for Q2. At the time of Q1 and Q2 gets forward bias to reverse bias the DC motor gets positive current source through Q1 so that the DC motor to move clockwise. Then when Q2 and Q1 gets forward bias to reverse bias DC motor gets a negative voltage source so that the DC motor to move counter-clockwise.

The size of the base bias voltage of Q1 and Q2 in the circuit bidirectional DC motor driver above will affect the rotation speed of a DC motor. The bias voltage control transistor in the circuit is done by the VR1 bidirectional DC motor driver is.
