Stereo speaker protection 4 transistors serve to protect the loudspeaker from the surge voltage at the output terminal of power amplifier when the power amplifier is turned on and to protect the loudspeaker of the DC leakage current at the output terminal of power amplifier. The speaker protection circuit is constructed using 4 transistors and can be used to power stereo amplifier. Source voltage for the speaker circuit protection is a DC voltage of +12 Volt. Leak detector DC current

Stereo speaker protection 4 transistor is used to detect DC leakage current at the output terminal of power amplifier. DC leakage current detector circuit uses a diode bridge circuit (bridge). In the event of leakage DC current at the output terminal of power amplifier, then the circuit diode bridge will provide base bias on transistor C458 so that these transistors will be saturated, so the charge of electrolytic capacitors (elco) 220uF / 25V will be emptied and the biased transistor base Darlington down instantly and relay OFF so that the output terminal of the power amplifier and loudspeaker loud speaker disconnected and safety of DC leakage currents.

Voltage Surge protection With Delay Time (Delay) Connection

This delay circuit is built using the concept of charging electrolytic capacitors (elco) 220uF / 25V by the voltage divider resistors 180KOhm and 47KOhm. Before the capacitor charge is met, then the bias base Darlington transistor is low, then when the capacitor charge is full, the transistor gets biased base so Darlington transistor is saturated and activates the relay (relay ON) on a circuit of the stereo speaker protection 4 transistor so that the output terminal of the power amplifier and loudspeaker connected.
