The circuit of variable power supply 0-30V 20A LM338 can provide output voltage can be set for 0 volts DC to 30 volts DC with a current capacity of 20 amperes. The circuit of variable power supply 0-30V 20A LM338 is built using the LM338 IC regulator 4 pieces arranged in parallel. The circuit of variable power supply 0-30V 20A LM338 in the picture above was built by some sections as follows.

Lowering the voltage, the voltage lowering section or step-down function to lower the 220V AC voltage into a voltage 32 volts. Part lowering is made using a voltage step-down transformer 32V 20A without CT.

Voltage rectifier, rectifier or rectifier serves to rectify voltage AC power into DC power voltage. Components that function as a diode bridge rectifier is 35A and the electrolytic capacitors (Elco) C2 4700uF / 50V.

Voltage regulators, this section serve to control the output power supply voltage level that can be set from 0-30 VDC. The voltage regulator circuit in the power supply is made by IC LM338 (variable regulator 5A) controlled by the reference voltage regulator circuit for a voltage regulator IC. This section was built with operational amplifiers (Op-Amp) IC 741.

Current amplifier 20A, this section serves to strengthen the current power supply capable of delivering up to 20A DC current source. Technique amplifies the current in the circuit power supply is done by arranging in parallel LM338 IC 4 units.
